The 720S becomes the first ever MacLaren in India

The latest mean machine from the stables of McLaren, the 720S, has become the first car from the British supercar marque to hit Indian roads. The Memphis Red McLaren 720S, owned by Bangalore businessman Ranjit Sundaramurthy is one spectacular beast powered by an all-new 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 engine that produces 710bhp and 770Nm of torque which is sent to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. So the 0-100 km/h sprint is covered in 2.9 seconds and the top speed is 341 km/hr. The 720S also comes fitted with McLaren’s Performance pack 3 which adds a host of lightweight carbon fibre parts along with Alcantara interiors. It is worth noting that the Memphis Red MacLaren 720S isn’t the only super beast in Ranjit Sundaramurthy’s spectacular collection in Bangalore: it also has two Ferraris— a 458 Italia and a 488 GTB with a FXX bodykit from Novitec—as well as a Lamborghini Huracan. The not so great part, though, is that this MacLaren will accompany its owner back to Dubai since it’s a left-hand drive car. Nevertheless, we’re just glad
MacLaren finally had its debut on Indian roads.
