The sleek, elegant Range Rover Velar is the latest offering from the British luxe automaker, and is expected to be launched here in the country in 2017 itself. With prices starting from $49,900, the mid-sized SUV will be placed between the Range Rover Evoque and Range Rover Sport in the global market and India. The fourth addition to the Range Rover family, the Velar arrives in three engine options: 247 hp turbocharged inline 4-cylinder 2 liter gas Ingenium engine, supercharged 380 hp 3 liter V-6 engine, or a 180 hp 2 liter Ingenium diesel one. All the Velars are equipped with a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive and an electronically limited 155 mph top speed. The Velar comes with a wheelbase of 2,874mm and measures 4,803mm in length, 1,903mm in width and 1,665mm in height.
