Jeep UK brings 75th anniversary range of vehicles

While we wait for it to officially start selling cars here in India, Jeep has introduced a limited edition range of vehicles in the UK. The brand has unleashed this new line-up to celebrate its 75th Anniversary as a carmaker. These limited edition models get exclusive branding, a higher level of standard equipment and unique green paint finishes among other colour choices. Jeep has announced that it will make a total of 8,000 limited edition cars for Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Celebratory editions of Jeep’s popular Renegade and Cherokee models will be the first models to arrive in the UK, with the Grand Cherokee, and the Wrangler following later in the year. All 75th anniversary models are distinguished by a new livery, a 75th anniversary badge, low gloss bronze wheels, bronze and orange exterior inserts. The limited-edition Renegade comes with either a 1.4-litre turbo 170bhp engine with a 9-speed automatic transmission or a 2-litre MultiJet 140bhp engine with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Cherokee, on the other hand, is powered by a 2.2-litre 200bhp turbo diesel engine. Jeep, of course, is due to start selling cars locally later this year. Following quite a few delays, the brand finally arrived in the Indian market earlier this year at the 2016 Auto Expo with the Wrangler, the Grand Cherokee and the Grand Cherokee SRT.
