Paris transforms street peeing into an eco-friendly act through street urinals

India ought to take a leaf out of Paris’s book, which is turning the menace of street peeing into something that might actually help the environment instead of making walkway filthier. They have introduced eco-friendly street urinals titled Uritrottoir, a blend of the verb uriner and the French word for pavement. The urinal is decorated with flower pots and works by storing the urine on a bed of dry material such as wood chips, straw, or saw dust, which is later taken out and turned into compost. The environment- safe urinals will initially be planted near the Gare de Lyon station, one of Paris’s street locations most infested with public peeing. Looks like this might be a good solution in a very similar Indian scenario.
