A gilded Corvette car suspended above the ground at the Milan Design Week marked the edgy Cartier pop-up theme of Precious Garage. Designed by New York based artist Desi Santiago, the pop up is located in the Garage Sanremo on Milan’s Via delle Fosse Ardeatine. A plentiful display of gold painted auto parts defines the space which puts the spotlight on two new lines of precious jewelry: ‘Juste un Clou’ and ‘Écrou de Cartier’. The pop-up basically showcases the link between mechanics and jewelry and “transforming ordinary everyday objects into exceptional pieces”.
