Spica Virginis, the 3D printed solid gold fountain pen!

Feast your eyes on this 3D printed solid gold fountain pen, created by Dutch designer and technologist Rein van der Mast. The pen is available in both 18k gold and silver, and dubbed Spica Virginis after the brightest star in the constellation Virgo. The intricately designed pen is created to resemble an ear of grain, with the gold giving it an aura of glittering in the sun. There’s also a titanium version that gives a lighter touch, plated with a thick layer of 24K gold and a tiny amount of cobalt for better wear resistance. These pens are also the first in the world to feature 3D printed nibs. The 18K yellow or white gold versions are priced at € 14,320 ($16,618) while the titanium version with 24k gold layer carries a tag of € 4,960 ($5,755.95). There’s also a plain titanium version priced at €2,490 ($2,889.17).
