World’s first: Jaeger Le-Coultre’s Geophysic UTC combines world timer with flying tourbillon

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s newest creation in the Geophysic collection the Geophysic Tourbillon UTC is the world’s first to combine a flying tourbillon and a world timer in one watch. This timepiece has a world timer along with the brand’s patented Gyrolab balance-equipped tourbillon and is all set for a debut at SIHH 2017.  The pioneering watch also boasts outstanding design with a blue lacquered guilloche dial that features the domed world map detail. The 43.5mm watch case is made of solid platinum and contains the Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 948, an automatic movement with a solid 22-carat pink gold winding rotor and a 48-hour power reserve. 375 components comprise it, 42 of which are jewels. The Gyrolab – a signature of the Geophysic collection is noted for its rounded h-shape which offers a higher efficiency compared to the usual circular balance wheel. The super gorgeous, word’s first of its kind is extremely limited edition too, with just 100 pieces to be created.
