Aston Martin is all set to sponsor the Red Bull F1 in 2018. The partnership that began with the AM 01 is culminating in this new investment by Aston Martin. With the new engine rules coming in 2021, Aston Martin aspires to build a F1 engine once the new regulations are implemented. In fact, Aston Martin’s participation as an engine manufacturer solely depends upon the new regulations, which introduce expense caps on the building of engines. Aston martin considers that this would foster innovation, at the same time encourage wider participation from manufacturers as well as privateer teams which will eventually turn out to be beneficial for the sport.
