Aston Martin unleashes Vanquish Zagato Speedster and Shooting Brake

Aston Martin has gone ahead and unleashed its latest creations, namely the Vanquish Zagato Speedster and the Shooting Brake. The Vanquish Zagato Speedster is a drop-top performance sports car based on the Aston Martin Vanquish. The absolutely drool worthy exterior features twin fog lights, revamped bonnet, new rockers and fenders. The rear of the car sports humps along with a streamlined cowl flowing back from the seats, representing Zagato’s signature double-bubble roof. Also present are the super edgy Vulcan inspired ‘Blade’ tail lights. The 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, mated to a a Touchtronic III transmission, gives the Speedster 580bhp of power and the 0-100km/hr sprint takes less than 3.5 seconds. The Speedtser will be extremely limited edition with just 28 units being created—and all of them already spoken for as you read this. As for the Shooting Brake, this latest addition to the family is one helluva vehicle, a spectacular two-seater but “an exceptionally practical GT”, to quote Aston Martin. The Zagato ‘double-bubble’ design shows up once again on the extended roof flaunted by the Shooting Brake. Only 99 units of the Shooting Brake will be manufactured, with production to begin in 2018.
