A newly opened shoe store in Bangkok named 24 Kilates has a unique theme to attract customers: it’s done up entirely like a plush bank vault—a completely golden vault at that. Conceptualized by Barcelona-based External Reference Architects, the store is covered from floor to ceiling with safes and lockers housing the shoes, lockers that customers can open and shut at will. There’s also a life-size opening wheel perched in the center wall to complete the look.
