Jaguar’s entry-level F-Type with 295HP four-cylinder engine

Jaguar has announced a new variant of the F-Type at the New York Auto Show with a 296 horsepower four-cylinder engine. And so for the next year you will have the F-Type in six different engine choices, taking the total of F-type variants to 20. The base F-Type with a 340-horsepower supercharged V6, the 380-horsepower F-Type R-Dynamic, the mid-range 400 Sport, the 550-horsepower V8-powered F-Type R, and the top-tier 575-horse SVR. The entry-level F-Type is powered by a new four-cylinder turbocharged 2.0-liter unit making 296 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission enabling it to do the 0-100 kmph sprint in 5.4 seconds, with top speeds of 155 mph. To be available in both closed-roof and soft-top forms, this latest F-type comes with a price tag upwards of $59,900.
