Patek Phillipe’s 2017 offering is the Aquanaut Travel Time Ref. 5650G “Patek Philippe Advanced Research” watch, that showcases two developments being showed off by the brand: a Spiromax balance spring made of Silinvar (Patek’s proprietary silicon) and a “flexible-mechanism” for the second-time zone settings. The partially open dial features for the first time in a Patek Phillipe watch, too. The watch features a 40.8mm wide and 11mm thick case, water-resistant to 120m on a night-blue strap. Extremely limited edition with just 500 pieces made, the watch carries a price tag of around $59,000 each.
