Christian Louboutin and Sabyasachi Mukherjee have teamed up to create a limited edition collection of footwear that’s elaborately adorned and embellished to perfection. The collection includes sneakers, heels and ankle boots in Indian fabrics, covered with embroidery and metal spikes looking every bit ‘Indian’ in their luxe. Iterestingly, the collection incorporates cut-offs from saris and ribbons, which Louboutin discovered when he visited Sabyasachi’s home in Kolkata. The limited edition collection includes 15 designs for women and four for men, and will be available October onwards at eight locations including Bergdorf Goodman, the Christian Louboutin boutique in West Hollywood as well as at Harrods.
