McLaren’s splendid 720S has been officially unveiled at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2017.  The much-awaited replacement for the 650 S is lighter, faster and more dynamically capable than its predecessor. One of the key points in the design of this new Super Series model is the absence of radiator intakes on the side of the car; this function is carried out instead by the ‘double-skin’ aerodynamic form of the dihedral doors, which channel air to the radiators that cool the mid-mounted engine.  It sports the new M480T engine which continues the lineage of McLaren’s twin-turbocharged V8 engine series. The 4-litre engine, which has 41 per cent new part content compared to the 3.8-litre engine that continues to exist, generates 720bhp and 770Nm of torque. Which makes the supercar zoom from 0 to 100kmph in less than 3 seconds and just 5 seconds later the car would have passed the 200kmph mark. Top speed, you ask? That’s 341kmph. The $285,000 ultra-lightweight supercar is down 40 lbs. from the 650S to 2,829 pounds dry and 3,128 fueled. McLaren has revealed that first customers are scheduled to receive their cars in May.  Three grades of specification will be on offer, with Performance and Luxury trims extending above the standard level, all complemented by a range of option packs.

Nike has recently created a one-of-a-kind Nike Air Force 1 PE for Sir Elton John. Elton John’s relationship with Nike began in the mid-70s when Geoff Hollister designed several shoes for the iconic musician. The latest ‘Jet’ shoes feature a chrome effect, designed as a nod to John’s knighthood, while the upper draws inspiration from a British Knight’s armor and a disco ball. The Forces are then capped off with Nike BETRUE color inspiration and graphics.

After recently infusing the Phantom with 24k gold, Rolls Royce has gone a step further and literally sprinkled the Ghost with diamonds all over. Named ‘Elegance’, the new Ghost has a paint job that makes use of 1,000 crushed diamonds.  Called “Diamond Stardust,” this paint was created after Rolls Royce dedicated 2 months testing different painting methods and applications to ensure the desired reflection. They also made sure the precious stones couldn’t be felt to the touch when running your hand along the car’s paint. The diamonds were milled to a fine powder before being mixed with paint, and an extra final layer of clear coat was applied to protect the diamond particles during the hand-polishing process.  The remainder of the car is still decked out to heightened Rolls-Royce standards, noting hand-painted coach lines, 21-inch wheels with matching red pinstripes, leather seats, wool carpet, and oak wood trim. And if you’d like to feast your eyes on this spectacular beauty, you just need to head out to the Geneva Motor Show, for it will be displayed there.
