Dual-time displays are a must-have for frequent travelers and those doing business across the globe, but Aerowatch has just introduced their latest timepiece, the Renaissance 7 Time Zones. Designed by Fred-Eric Bolzli, horological engineer and co-owner of the family-run Aerowatch brand, the watch displays the time in six of the world’s major cities in addition to the local time. Twenty-four-hour sub-dial displays for London, Moscow, Dubai, Shanghai, Tokyo and New York can be seen around the 44 mm watch face, while the local time is displayed in the center. Running on hand-winding, mechanical-based Caliber 6497-1 movement, the skeletonized rose gold tourbillion can be seen through the sapphire crystal back, decorated in Côtes de Genève engravings. A pusher at the 10 o’clock hour makes it easy to adjust the local time when crossing time zones, while the six time zones found around the watch face remain unaffected. Black lacquer index dials around the watch face are coated in Super-Luminova C1 for better visibility. The piece comes in two versions—a satin-finished stainless steel and a black, PVD-treated 316L steel.

According to reports in New You, Command PR founder Jonathan Cheban (known to many as Kim Kardashian’s BFF) plans on opening the esteemed school at Trump Tower. “Wealthy kids from all over the world will learn things about private aviation, social media, quality of diamonds, types of caviar, mixed in with economics and other fundamental undergrad and grad classes,” he said, adding that he will teach the “social stuff” people need to know in order to survive in NYC. Cheban hasn’t commented on prices, but if it’s anything like the Swiss Institut Villa Pierrefeu finishing school, it could be $20,000 a session.

Kerbedanz just unveiled the new Tree of Life timepiece, an artistic interpretation of immortality comprised of emeralds, diamonds and 18-karat gold. The tree, found on the face of the watch, is intended to symbolize the unity between heaven and earth, spirituality and eternity. A gold bas-relief sculpture, hand-carved from yellow gold, it “grows” from the bottom of the dial before curling over the entirety of the face. On its branches it bears the fruit of life, represented by a series of tiny diamonds. The watch face is comprised of a cloisonné green enamel dial and is encircled in 541 emeralds weighing a total of five carats. The green shade of the stones, strap and watch face are meant to embody the color of life and vitality, while the eight white diamonds seen dangling from the tree are a “token of immortality.” The Tree of Life is clearly intended as an art piece, but watch lovers will also appreciate the mechanical automatic KRB-03 caliber movement with twin barrels and a 120-hour power reserve. Only 41 pieces of this limited edition watch will be made available.

The Montcalm London Marble Arch are the first of the Montcalm Hotels to launch Handy, a smartphone service to bolster their guest offering and promise to connect the disconnected – a first for a hotel in the UK and Europe. The service would soon follow at other Montcalm hotels in the collection. Millions of people across the globe are used to being connected to the world at large 24-hours-a-day via their mobile devices, but when they travel to a foreign country there’s no guarantee their service provider will operate overseas, thus denying them online access or even the ability to make a phone call. Now, however, for the duration of their stay in the UK capital, guests of The Montcalm London Marble Arch will be able to use Handy devices entirely free of charge, enabling them to make local and international calls and providing them with 3G data so they can access the internet. In addition Handy’s tailored service offers over 200 points-of-interest that include: travel recommendations updated throughout the day, interactive maps, websites and a one-touch reservation option which will include access to all restaurants and major attractions. This will enable guests to explore London like a local, making Handy the only travel guide the guest will need. To protect the guests’ privacy, all personal information and browsing history will be completely cleared from the Handy smartphones when the guest is checked out of their hotels.
