Bulgari recently announced two new ‘secret’ watches—with hidden time displays : the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Monete and the Bulgari Monete Pendant Watch. Both are part of the Monete collection, a Bulgari heritage series. Monete refers to ancient coins used for unique creations and are a reference to the brand’s affinity for classical Greek tradition and ancient Roman culture.  The Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Monete brings together two millennia of history, through the ancient Roman coin bearing the visage of Roman Emperor Constantine I or Saint Constantine, which hides beneath it the intricate mechanisms of contemporary fine watchmaking. The Monete pendant watch again combines high jewelry and fine watchmaking in a dazzling combination and nod to Roman history. The Octo Finissimo Tourbillon features a 40 mm-diameter octagonal case in 18kt pink gold, fitted with a 4-silica silver coin, the front of the watch bears the portrait of Emperor Constantine Augustus wearing a diadem. The movement is a mechanical hand-wound Calibre BVL 268 with 253 components and 52-hour power reserve. The Monete Pendant watch, on the other hand, has a 41mm-diameter octagonal case set with brilliant-cut diamonds and rubies, fitted with a silver tetradrachm, with the front displaying Emperor Alexander Magnus, while the back depicts a divinity holding a sceptre and an eagle; the caseback is transparent sapphire crystal and the chain is crafted from 18kt pink gold set with 1,270 brilliant-cut diamonds with 252 rubies. A dazzling show indeed.

The 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS has finally made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The supercar is powered by 3.8-litre, flat-six motor derived from the 911 Turbo S, that belts out a powerful 690bhp and 750Nm of torque, an increment of 79bhp and 50Nm over the outgoing 911 GT2 RS. Weighing just 1,470kg and that with a full tank, it even comes with an optional Weissach package that promises to drop another 30kgs owing to the magnesium wheels and a number of carbon-fibre components, like the roof, anti-roll bars, and axle components—and there’s a new titanium exhaust system that’s 6kg lighter than the previous version’s. The tuned seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission gives the new GT2 RS a 0-100kmph sprint time of just 2.7sec and top speeds of 340kmph.

The Driftsun transparent Kayak is an 11-foot long watercraft that offers you the splendid experience of rowing through a water body and exploring the underwater life right from your boat. Basting a strong anodized aluminum frame with marine-grade hardware and, at each end, it features orange anti-sink airbags for extra safety.  It includes two double-headed aluminum paddles with ergonomic grips, plus two removable & adjustable EVA seats with high back rests that come in handy if you are on a solo journey. Weighing 48 pounds and arriving fully assembled, the Driftsun kayak has a maximum capacity of 425 lbs for cargo & crew.  Priced at $1600, this boat’s designed to function well even in choppy water and it even comes with its own sponge cleaners to keep the experience as vivid as possible.

Breitling’s new Superocean 44 is the perfect diving watch with the classiest of appearances. Encased in a 44mm steel case, the watch features Breitling’s in-house officially chronometer-certified self-winding Breitling 17 mechanical movement with a 40-hour power reserve.  The back is screwed in and the dial is surrounded by a unidirectional ceramic bezel.  The crystal covering the face is of cambered sapphire that has been glare-proofed on both sides for an extra measure of clarity. And the face of the watch prominently features two tone white on black indices for the perfect contrast that enables remarkable legibility even at serious depths—and when we say serious, we really mean it because the watch is water resistant to 3,300 feet. Just to give you some perspective, this depth is actually three times greater than the current world record scuba dive of 1090 feet! The watch comes with a price tag of $3,850 but for the hardcore diving professional, this is a must-crave accessory.

Aston Martin’s wildest-ever creation – the track-only Vulcan just got stronger, faster, meaner with the performance upgrade package developed by the company’s new performance brand, AMR. So we get the Vulcan AMR Pro, which made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With extensive aerodynamic enhancements and shortened gearing the new Vulcan is geared up for greater response and reduced lap times. Louvered panels added above the front wheel arches helo extract high pressure air and reduce aerodynamic lift. A sizeable pair of dive planes added to each side of the nose help pin the front-end to the track and the huge front splitter gets turning vanes on the underside to improve steering response and there’s also a new rear wing. All of this results in a major boost to downforce—up from the standard Vulcan’s 3150Nm to an astonishing 4000Nm. Aston Martin is offering this upgrade package for all of the 24 Vulcans it’s built. The AMR Pro upgrade package will be installed by Q by Aston Martin Advanced Operations and the coming months would see the completion of the first customer cars.

Behold this bespoke Aventador SV Roadster that comes with a matching MTI Super Veloce catamaran— apparently one of the finest built, fastest and most advanced performance boats in the world—and it makes one of the headiest combinations you’d ever have set your sights on. The 2016 Aventador SV Roadster itself is estimated at $600,000, while the 52-foot catamaran is worth a whopping $1,750,000.

Yes, the armoured private boat is here—named the Marvel 41, it has been desgined by Nikos Manafis for Marvel. With a closed, weather-protected deck and flat polygonal surfaces, this boat offers three engine options that can be fitted with either two 425 hp 6.7L Cummins diesel engines hooked to Konrad stern drives or with dual 350 hp Verados outboard motors. Yes, you read that right. The Hyperloop Hotel concept is supposed to enable you to switch between cities at a moment’s notice, and all while remaining in the luxury of your own suite. The Hyperloop Hotel idea is the brainchild of Brandan Siebrecht, a graduate architecture student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and it’s the winning concept of this year’s Radical Innovation Award in the US— an annual competition for imaginative, futuristic hotel designs. It was selected by a jury of seven hotel investors, developers, and architects from among 65 submissions from 24 countries. The Hyperloop Hotel concept would actually connect 13 hotels across the US, and the high speed transit system required by the idea is currently being developed by none other than Elon Musk. The basic idea is to eliminate the need to buy separate transit tickets for traveling between 13 of the largest cities in America, because the Hyperloop Hotel would allow speedy and easy access via a podlike vehicle, which is currently being tested for its capacity to transport people at 750 miles per hour—approximately 1207 kmph! Each pod-like unit would include an office space, a living room with a flat-screen TV, a bedroom, and a bathroom. A flat fee of $1,200 is all it would take for Hyperloop Hotel guests to quickly move between the network of cities, but this amount doesn’t include the tariff for spending the night in the room.

The Krayon Everywhere watch is a feat of genius, for the Swiss design engineering studio has managed to introduce personally adjusted sunrise and sunset displays inside a mechanical wristwatch—for any and every place on earth. Remie Mallat, founder of Krayon, is the man behind the watch which features an ultra-complex movement comprising 595 components that use the three positions on the crown to input data of latitude & longitude, date, and UTC time zone. The visual display on the face thereby shows not just night time and daylight hours but also how long the sun has been shining! The timepiece is housed in a 42mm x 11.7mm white gold case with both a sapphire crystal and caseback that shows off the intricate workings within.  It also has automatic winding with a 72 hour power reserve and water resistance down to 100 feet. Priced at $681k, the Krayon Everywhere watch seems all set to make the everywhere sunrise/sunset adjustable display the new haute complication in high-horological machines.
