The St Regis at San Fransisco has partnered with tea manufacturing firm Tealeaves to create the world’s most expensive Bubble tea, which has been christened ‘The Boba Tea Shake’!  This Bubble tea contains an amalgamation of Indian, Chinese and Ceylon black teas blended with lychee and passion fruit oils, all mixed with a special technique of merging using ice, a complete departure from the technique used for the creation of hot tea. And instead of letting ice melt within the drink, it’s cooled in a cocktail shaker. Hence the “Teashake” name. Additionally, the Boba Shake contains tapioca pearls blended with herbal tea and boasts such exotic ingredients as passionfruit coulis, sea salt caramel foam, and even fleur de sel. This unique bubble tea has been created by Franck Desplechin, executive chef at The St. Regis San Francisco.

Rolls-Royce recently put on display one of the nine bespoke Wraiths created for its special edition series “Inspired by British Music”. Each car of the series pays homage to a different music legend, and this Wraith on display was commissioned by none other than the legendary Roger Daltrey, front man of the British music royalty band ‘The Who’, who had the car built completely to his specificaltions. The Wraith’s interiors have the band’s bull’s-eye logo splashed all over, and a laser etching of Daltrey’s microphone as well. A large portion of the car’s value has been pledged by Rolls Royce to The Teenage Cancer Trust and other charities once it is sold—just like for all the other cars in the series.

Who would have imagined a diamond to be sold at a junk sale? Well apparently, Sotheby’s latest offering is just that: a diamond purchased originally at a junk sale in London—which is now estimated to fetch up to £350,000! According to Sotheby’s the present owner actually bought the 26-carat, white diamond ring for £10 in the 1980s and wore it while doing shopping and chores, thinking it was costume jewellery!  The diamond is thought to have been cut in the 19th century when the style was to cut to conserve the weight rather than to enhance the brilliance. That perhaps, played a role in people mistaking it for a fake. The owner brought the ring in for valuation after a jeweller told them it could be worth something. To be auctioned on June 7, the ring is a genuine cushion-shaped diamond weighing 26.27 carats with an attractive colour grade of I and impressive clarity grade of VVS2, which is the fourth-highest level of clarity.

The company also opened its state-of-the-art multi-level “3S” dealership facility in Delhi earlier this month. Looks like super car makers are vying with each other for the attention of the motor aficionado in India.

German supercar maker Porsche has been accused of manipulating emission results using a cheat device attached to the steering wheel, which alters the emission output. A similar accusation had dogged the heels of Audi, another supercar maker, which resulted in the recall of 24,000 A7 and A8 models. Now Germany’s Transport Authority, KBA, is investigating if Porsche was using a similar method to manipulate the emission output. The authority believes that the cheat device attached to the steering identifies it as a testing cycle and emits less nitrogen oxide. If the steering wheel is turned more than 15 degrees, then the car emits excess nitrogen oxide. Porsche has released a statement denying this accusation.
