Tag Heuer has just released a special edition version of the Connected Modular 45 watch. In May this year, TAG Heuer had announced its global partnership with MARV films and 20th century Fox for the film ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’, releasing in cinemas worldwide on September 22, 2017. The TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 was then chosen by Matthew Vaughn, Kingsman’s acclaimed director. And now the Connected Modular 45 Kingsman Special Edition watch has been unveiled in London by Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Group Watch Division. The Kingsman Special Edition reproduces the aesthetic adopted by the agents: pink gold lugs and an elegant leather strap with Kingsman print. The watch comes with a second strap in orange velvet, inspired by the iconic orange velvet suit. The Connected Modular 45 Kingsman Special Edition differs from the classic collection with its dials function. Available in either midnight blue or grey, it bears the Kingsman inscription and logo at 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock. At 10:10, the dial vibrates for 10 seconds and the K-shaped logo appears. In a final nod to the film, the original Android Wear lighting function is replaced by the film’s logo on the dial, in gold on a white background. This is TAG Heuer’s first global online launch, following its partnerships with Chinese online retailers JD.com and Tmall.com. The Kingsman programme is part of the Swiss watch company’s strategy to connect with a millennial audience and to build its ecommerce business. For one month, starting July 6th, the TAG Heuer Connected Modular 45 Kingsman Special Edition will be sold exclusively on Mr Porter, the award-winning global retail destination for men’s style.

Danish chocolatier Fritz Knipschildt has just created the world’s most expensive chocolate—its name going down in the Guinness Book of World Records. Coming from Brooklyn’s Chocolate Room, this hand crafted chocolate named La Madeline au Truffe costs $2600 per pound and it nestles within itself a rare French Perigord truffle— embedded in a ganache of heavy cream, sugar, truffle oil and vanilla coated in 70% Valrhona dark chocolate and then delicately rolled in fine cocoa powder. Each piece of the chocolate is perfectly brought forth on a bed of faux pearls in a silver box tied with a bow. Now that is one sweet treasure.

A Dubai bakery has curated what is possibly the world’s most expensive cake—a Game of Thrones inspired treat that costs $ 25,000! Fashioned like the famous Iron Throne, the cake measures 1.2 metres in size and weighs all of 32kgs! It even has Tyrion Lannister sitting atop it majestically—complete with signature drinking flask and distinctive red jacket. The cake takes 3-4 weeks to prepare and each element is painstakingly hand-crafted entirely out of sugar fondant and paste. Fit for a big bash of 100 people, this one surely calls for a lavish party to celebrate it.

Montblacn’s latest creation is a tribute to the fine Japanese art of Chiso. Strictly limited to just 55 pieces, the Montblanc Homage to Kyoto Artistry features a specially-created Kimono pattern in honour of the centuries-old tradition, and the limited number of 55 is a reference to the genesis of the Chiso tradition in 1555. For the uninitiated, the artistry of Chiso allows its designers to tell elaborate stories on silk. Two scenes from the fabled Tale of Genji decorate the pens, with the cap featuring the palace and bird from the famous Wakamurasaki scene in the fifth chapter, while the barrel depicts Imperial carts or Gosho Guruma that accompany Genji through the various stations of his life. Montblanc artisans used a new surface technique to apply the intricate designs to the 925 Sterling Silver cap and barrel that are firstly finely engraved, then refined with a very unique sandblasting process. A final polish embellishes the silver with partly matt and partly shiny surfaces accentuated with solid gold inlays of spring cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. The champagne gold cone is delicately engraved with a traditional Hanabishi pattern, and the cap ring that separates the upper from the lower part of the writing instrument is decorated with Genji-ko, a line pattern derived from Kodo. The nib design is inspired by the traditional Kosode, a basic Japanese robe for both men and women worn during the Japanese Edo Period between the 17th and 19th centuries. The writing instrument comes in a box with a silk inlay, hand-painted by Chiso artisans using the Kyo-Yuzen technique of painting and dyeing silk along with elaborate artwork.

Bell & Ross has come out with the new Vintage Garde Cotes three hand and chronograph edition meant for the Sea Rescuer, a tribute to the helicopter pilots and divers that save lives at sea. Launched at Baselworld 2017, the watch shuns the serious, military-inspired aesthetics and instead features a bright orange and white colour scheme that probably reminds one of Baywatch! The date of the latest Bell & Ross Vintage Garde Cotes appears in a window between 4 and 5 o’clock. The brand’s iconic, imposing numerals appear at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock. The model is equipped with a bidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale and can be used to set time markers for more accurate mission timing. The crown guard ensures water-resistance and prevents accidental unlocking. White numerals, indices and hour and minute hands with high luminescent coating ensures that critical essential timings can be made out at a glance even during emergency rescues at dusk. The chronograph versions feature a sapphire case-back that reveals the very heart of the mechanism. The crystal is engraved with the symbol of sea rescuers: the buoy and the anchor. Like the three-hand model, this sportier version is equipped with a crown guard that is ideal for maritime rescue missions. The chronograph push-pieces are screwed in to guarantee optimal water-resistance and security. The fixed bezel is adorned with a black anodized insert that is graduated with a pulsimeter. Coordinated with the chronograph, this function can be used to measure the heart rate. It is very useful for rescuers providing first aid.

A South Korean Barista named Lee Kang Bin creates coffee that is art. Literally, we mean. Because the coffee he creates serves as his canvas for reproducing works from the masters— creations such as Scream and Starry Nights! Kang Bin sells his jaw-dropping masterpiece coffee cups at “Café C. Through” in Seoul for a steep 10,000 won or $8.70. His Instagram page by the name of CreamArt has over 160,000 followers—and with good reason of course. Who wouldn’t drool over this mesmerising combination of comforting coffee and art magic?

Cartier has resurrected its classically elegant collection inspied by the big cats of Asia and Africa: the panthers. First created in the 1980’s, the Panthere De Cartier continued in brand’s collection until the early 2000s and this year, it has been reintroduced by the brand in two size variants and nine different finishes. Available in 22mm and 27mm, the timepiece features square cases joined by screwed-down bezels and linked brick-lay bracelets that are completed with concealed folding clasps. Staying true to the original, the timepiece is powered by a quartz movement. Among the nine different finishes available, there are those that are classic and fuss free: yellow gold, rose gold, two-tone steel and yellow gold, and plain steel. The rose gold and white gold versions are also available with diamond encrusted bezels. However our favorites are the more stylish, edgy and wild luxe versions: the absolutely breath taking white gold timepiece entirely covered in diamonds and embellished all over with black enamel panther prints, for the tuly feline female—and the second being the limited edition rose gold version with black lacquered links finish, another nod to the elegant and graceful beast. Those are the ones that would do the graceful and discerning woman proud.

The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Cartier Tank watch fetched $379,500 at Rare Watches and American Icons New York auction held recently. The watch was a gift from Jacqueline’s brother-in-law Prince Stanislaw “Stas” Radziwill in 1963, which was just nine months before the fatal day of 22 November 1963, when her husband, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. The First Lady of the United States wore this Cartier Tank primarily during her life and she’s captured in many iconic photographs with the elegant watch, which features a caseback engraving “Stas to Jackie 23 Feb. 63 2:05 am to 9:35 pm.” referring to the start and stop times of Prince Radziwill’s famous 50-Mile Hike in Palm Beach to promote health awareness and physical fitness.
