Restaurant at Amaya

The word Amaya has its origins in Sanskrit which means ‘simplicity’ and that reflects in resorts’ thoughtfully designed structure. Bijoy Jain and his team studied the forested site over multiple visits and minimally used a section of its panoramic terraces, once farmed generations ago, to nestle a combination of 15 chalets, suites and villas, on a hillside spanning 25 acres.

The villas have a study or artist studio, dining and living spaces, a fully equipped kitchen and three independent ensuite that harmoniously blend with the pine forest around them.

Each eco-sensitive modern structure has been built meticulously by hand using local materials – wood, lime, and stone. The interiors of Amaya reflect the concept of sustainable minimalism and Nordic design.
