Jeep has revealed a limited-edition Jeep Wrangler Rubicon designed for off-roading. The Wrangler Rubicon Recon adds even more all-terrain ability to a vehicle that was already an off-roading heavyweight. But now there’s an even stronger front axle and heavy-duty cast rear differential covers. The Recon retains the performance of the standard car it’s based on, with a 3.6-litre V6 engine that develops 284bhp, taking the Recon from 0-60mph in 7.9 seconds and up to a top speed of 112mph (180 kmph). The Recon also boasts a host of visual enhancements such as the 18-inch painted aluminium wheels, a black roof (available in either soft- or hard-top form) and a dual-vented bonnet featuring red-accented ‘Rubicon’ lettering on either side. A ‘Trail Rated’ logo with red accents, a black fuel filler door, and a black hard spare tyre cover finish the package. Leather heated seats with red stitching and an embroidered ‘Rubicon’ logo grace the interiors. Black vinyl-wrapped armrests and a unique leather-wrapped steering wheel complete with red stitching provide an exra edge to this limited edition. Two-door variants of the Wrangler Rubicon Recon start from £40,050 ( approx $53,000) while four-door models start from £42,175 (approx $55,000). But the limited edition Wrangler Rubicon Recon is only available in the UK as of now.
