Scandinavian design brand, in collaboration with Miyake Design Studio, earlier this week, presented a unique range of high end ceramics, glass and home textiles. The collaboration, which looks simple, is much more than it looks; it is the result of the teamwork of not only two masters of timeless design from two different sides of the world, but also two different fields of design industry. Unique elements from both the celebrated institutions are reflected in the range. The collection also marks Issey Miyake, the much-loved fashion house’s first venture in the interior industry with Iitala. The Iittala X Issey Miyake home collection was designed to celebrate every day. It comprises tableware, serve-ware, table linens and more. The range invites one to rejoice even in the mundane routines of domestic life with its natural colour palette and elegant shapes. The pieces in the array can be easily matched with each other as the designers have incorporated a distinct sense of harmony in the entire range. A common idea running across the complete collection is the idea of blossoming flowers, which adds emotions and boosts interaction between the product and its user.
