Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome gets revamped as part of 15th Anniversary celebrations

The historic Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with a dazzling makeover. The five star property with 156 rooms and suites has the distinction of being one of the Palaces of France, an honor conferred by the French Ministry of Tourism on the country’s most exquisite hotels. The recent revamp was carried out by acclaimed American architect Ed Tuttle who is also the original designer of the property. The concept at the core of the transformation was that of an Asian-inspired “contemporary palace”. The new look features custom fabrics from Jim Thompson, Tai Ping carpets, L’Atelier Traditionnel du Vimeu’s bathroom fixtures and lighting by Oscar Nystrom to set off rare and precious materials like serpentine rock, Parisian limestone, bronze, silk and mahogany. The Spa-like bathrooms flaunt limestone walls, deep soaking tubs, rain showers, heated floors and bath amenities custom designed by Parisian perfumer Christophe Laudamiel.
